The Introduction to Mortgage Origination Examinations Training builds upon a base knowledge developed through the Day One: Mortgage Examiner Training. The course accelerates attendees' mortgage examination knowledge and adds value to their regulatory agency. The training includes focused hands-on exercises to reinforce what attendees learn and permits them to apply their knowledge to real-life exam situations. The course is taught by experienced mortgage examiners.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, attendees are able to:
- Understand the mortgage supervision and the tools available to assist with examinations.
- Discuss basic financial analysis, including ratios and reporting requirements.
- Understand the key areas of a mortgage origination examination.
- Apply critical thinking to develop better report content.
- Discuss best practices for running effective meetings.
Time Commitment:
- Pre-Course Requirement: Completion of Day One: Mortgage Examiner Training or equivalent training.
- Resident Session: 7 half-days virtually
- Post-Course Work: None
Target Audience:
Examiners with less than one year experience in mortgage origination examinations.
